Tricholoma sejunctum — Deceiving Knight — Tricholomataceae


Medium to large mushroom. Convex cap with umbo, aging to broadly bell-shaped or planar, sticky when moist, yellow to greenish-yellow with streaks of fibers radiating from dark center, or scales with maturity. Gills notched, close, short gills present, whitish, sometimes aging yellowish across surface or at margin. Tall stalk, swollen near base, whitish to yellowish. Mycorrhizal.
 
Habitat: Scattered or groups, terrestrial, conifers and hardwoods.

Scent: Mealy

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
