Tricholoma inamoenum — Ill-scented Tricholoma — Tricholomataceae


Small to medium mushroom. Convex to broadly convex cap, surface smooth, dingy to pale yellow-gray, becoming darker in age. Gills attached when fresh, whitish sometimes turning black. Stalk equal or with swollen base, dry, pallid to cream. occasionally brown at base. Mycorrhizal.
 
 
Habitat: Solitary to gregarious beneath conifers, often with Sitka Spruce.

Scent: Coal-tar gas

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
