Ampulloclitocybe clavipes — Club-footed Clitocybe — Tricholomataceae


Medium to large mushroom. Broadly convex cap becoming depressed or funnel-shaped; surface smooth, dry, light grayish-brown. Gills deeply decurrent, white, darkening to buff. Stalk a little shorter than the width of the cap, club-shaped at the base, buff with darker fibrils, thick and laterally attached to the cap; velvety. Saprophytic.

Habitat: Solitary or scattered under conifers.

Scent: Mild or fruity

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
