Otidea onotica — Donkey-ears — Pyronemataceae


Small to medium mushroom. Cup-shaped fruiting body, with one side split, often wavy. Fertile surface smooth, brownish yellow to orangish, sometimes pinkish. Exterior similar, although not pinkish, fuzzy. Stalk absent or narrow, whitish and downy. Saprophytic.
 
Habitat:
Solitary to scattered to dense clusters, on humus, coniferous forest, Douglas-fir.

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: White

Season: Summer to Autumn
