Armillaria sinapina — Honey Mushroom — Physalacriaceae


Small to large mushroom. Convex cap, brown, with small dark scales.  Gills attached to decurrent, white to flesh-color. Stalk, pale above, darker below, tapering and fusing, sometimes with enlarged base. Cobwebby veil and ring.  Parasitic.
 
Habitat: Singly or small clusters, mostly on conifers.

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
