Small to medium corticoid (crust) fungus, flat, orangish, paintlike. Saprophytic.

Synonym: Gloeopeniophorella aurantiaca

Habitat: Patches, flat on substrate, often on underside, tightly attached, on dead twigs, stems, can cause white rot, on alders, willows.

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: Salmon-colored

Season: Autumn
