Small mushroom. Convex cap, planar with age or sometimes with a small depression, reddish-brown to tawny, fading when mature. Not viscid, smooth. Gills attached or decurrent, yellow. Stalk longer than cap diameter, equal or with small bulb at base, yellowish above, brown below.
 
Habitat: Scattered to gregarious on conifer needles, debris. 

Scent: Not distinctive.

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
