Panellus mitis — Elastic Oysterling — Mycenaceae


Small mushroom. Kidney or shell-shaped cap, flattened with age, velvety and whitish/pinkish when young maturing to pinkish-brown, marginfringed. Gills attached, semicircle, with small gills between, whitish becoming ochraceous. Stalk short, with fibrils, pinkish to pale olive.
 
Habitat: Clusters in wet habitat, on alder and maple.

Scent: Fungal

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
