Laccaria laccata  — Waxy Laccata — Hydnangiaceae


Small to medium mushroom. Cap convex, becoming plane; surface often moist but not viscid, minutely scaly surface dry, color pinkish-flesh to a light orange-brown. Gills broadly attached, thick, well-spaced, pinkish. Stalk slender, more or less equal, tough and fibrous, colored as the cap. Mycorrhizal.
 
Habitat:  In small groups in conifer forests as well as in mixed forests. 

Scent: Mild

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
