Bisporella citrina — Minute Lemon Cup — Helotiaceae


Tiny to small ascomycete. Fruiting body initially spherical, flattening to a slightly convex disc with a central depression; somewhat gelatinous; bright yellow to yellow-orange; margin minutely hairy. Stalk present as pinched tissue at point of attachment. Saprophytic.
 
Habitat:   In large groups on rotting hardwood logs and sticks. 

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
