Nolanea sericea —  Silky Nolanea — Entolomataceae


Small to medium mushroom. Convex to broadly convex cap, with umbo, margin incurved maturing to flat and upturned, hygrophanous, dark gray-brown when moist, paler when dry, fading to translucent, not viscid. Gills attached, dark gray-brown, aging with pinkish tones Stalk fragile, somewhat translucent, darkening, with white woolly base. Saprophytic.
 
Habitat:
 Disturbed habitat, including lawns, trail borders, hard-packed soils.

Scent: Strong, farinaceous

Spores: Dark salmon pinkish

Season: Autumn
