Cheimonophyllum candidissimum —  White Oysterette — Cortinariaceae


Tiny mushroom. Cap convex; dry, covered with very short, stiff hairs, becoming pale brownish at the center in age. Gills widely-spaced, decurrent, white. Stalk absent or reduced to a lateral plug of tissue, white. Saprophytic.
 

Habitat:  In groups or singly on decaying plant material, including salmonberry canes and bits of wood, in conifer forests. 

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
