Small to medium coral mushroom. Form variable. Whitish to buff, pointed or sometimes blunt branch tips, often toothed. Branches smooth to wrinkled or flattened. Parasitized with Helminthosphaeria clavariarum. Stalk slender. Mycorrhizal.

Clavulina cristata
 
Habitat: Solitary or groups, terrestrial in coniferous forest.

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
